چکیده

This study investigates the variations in chemical profiles and biological activities (antioxidant cytotoxic) of Eplingiella fruticosa from state Sergipe, an endemic species Northeast region Brazil. The essential oils were extracted six populations by hydrodistillation analyzed GC/MS-FID. Cluster analysis was performed with data constituents oils, then a dissimilarity matrix, based on Euclidean distances, dendrogram, through Ward clustering method, constructed. antioxidant activity tested different assays (DPPH, ABTS, β-carotene, FRAP), cytotoxic SRB assay. compounds found greater amounts α-pinene, β-pinene, 1,8-cineole, camphor, borneol, δ-elemene, α-cubebene, α-ylangene, (E)-caryophyllene, germacrene D, bicyclogermacrene, trans-calamenene, spathulenol, caryophyllene oxide, viridiflorol. These defined formation two groups. first group composed São Cristóvão, Itaporanga, Japaratuba, Malhada dos Bois municipalities characterized presence monoterpene camphor (8.39-11.27%) as compound greatest concentration relation to other municipal areas. second Moita Bonita Pirambu major sesquiterpene bicyclogermacrene (7.45% 10.98%). plants exhibited weak effects terms activity; however, oil showed significant toxicity for lines A549 (51.00% cell viability) population B16F10 (64.94% Bois. observations this may open way optimize use E. their properties.
